Health and Human Sciences

The Health and Human Sciences Program is a two-year program for students who plan to continue their education beyond high school. In this program, students will prepare for future careers in healthcare, human services, education, coaching, or nonprofit organizations. In the first year, student learning will extend outside the classroom to the surrounding communities. The focus will be on career exploration and the understanding of systems and settings that impact people, health, and education. Students will participate in field trips, job shadows and service projects. In the second year of the program, students will focus on human development, systems of the body, and the barriers that impact health and learning. Students will participate in cooperative learning and complete rotations in various settings. Students will graduate with a minimum of 6 college credits with opportunities for additional credits and certifications depending on career goals.  Students will learn skills that will prepare them to become lifelong learners and leaders in their community and professional fields.
